Profile

Hazel Watson is Professor of Nursing in the Improving Health and Wellbeing research grouping. She has a background in general and mental health nursing, having trained at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the Crichton Royal Infirmary. She gained the Master of Nursing degree at the University of Glasgow and her PhD at Strathclyde University.

Her work relates to the role of the nurse in substance misuse and, in particular, to the prevention and/or reduction of alcohol-related problems through a variety of approaches.
